Three’s Company

Look who’s turning four! This year has gone by fast, you guys.

And who else is looking forward to 2020? I am. The Second So Bad It’s Good Blogathon is coming up, the Broadway Bound Blogathon will come back, and there are a few more surprises in the works, one of which is going to be revealed this week. *chuckles impishly*

2019 must have been the Year of the Weird, because I reviewed a lot of strange stuff. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Plan 9 From Outer Space. William and Kate. Stealing Lincoln’s Body. Just to name a few. It was also the Year of the Silent, because I’ve been looking at quite a few silent films lately (So far The Cat and the Canary is my favorite). It’s all good, though–weird and silent aren’t bad places to be. It definitely keeps a reviewer on their toes.

Speaking of toes, who can forget the infamous Sherlock Holmes Twitter survey? I had no idea it was going to blow up the way it did, but people are passionate about their favorite Baker Street detective, y’all. Next to my Rick Elias tribute, the results post is my most read entry of 2019, which was a nice surprise. You never know what’s going to connect with people.

As always, I want to thank everyone, readers and fellow bloggers alike, for their support and good wishes (including two Leibsters and THREE Sunshine Awards), plus all the fab blogathons. From the start, this wonderful community of bloggers has taken me under its collective wing. It’s fun to bounce ideas off of everyone, and vice versa. It’s like we’re our own chapter of TCM Backlot or something, which is awesome.

Just like last year, I have no idea what flavor this year’s cake is, but it looks pretty, anyway. Here’s to a rollicking 2019 and may 2020 be another great one, whatever it’s going to bring. Thanks a million, my friends!

Okeydokey, Catherine’s Jeff Bridges Blogathon is coming up tomorrow. Thanks for reading, all and see you then…
